Sabbath School Convention

Wasted.—The Committee on fruit preperations, at the Third Annual Fair of the Jasper County Agricultural and Mechanioal Association, to rise and explain why thirty-five varieties cf jelly took the premium over forty-three varieties that were not tested at all ? Stockholdbb. J. H. Wood gives notice that his stock of Hardware, Tinware, Cook- and Heating Stoves (Twelve different kinds of heating stoves) Furniture, Clocks &c., &c., &C-, is now complete. Repairing of Stoves and Tinware done on the shortest time possible. He is also agent for B. A Durbon's Pumps and will not be undersold in Rensselaer or at the railroad stations on any goods in his line. Would rather sell for cash, but prompt payers can have ninety days credit.

The friends of Sabbath Schools in Jasper county will hold a Mass Convention, at Rensselaer, Oct. 20th, and 21st. Wm. 11. Levering, of LaFayette, is expected to be present to conduct the Convention, and aid in the organization of a County 8. 8. Union. All the Schools in the county are invited to co-oporatc. School Officers and Teachers are especially requested to be present. — Superintendents or School Secretaries are requested to report their purpose to co-op-erate by letter to the undersigned commitee, by whom programmes and forther particulm will be furnished as the time approaches.
