A little Set—Two.
We are informed by a letter from a friend that a terrible fight occurred in Princeton township, White county, last week. A man by the name of Christy Hammond, a Pennsylvanian, who has performed many wonderful feats, among which arc the following: He claims to have swam up Niagara Falls; twisted a rope with nine live rattle snakes attached to it; whipped twice his weight in wild cat s ; lifted a horse weighing thirteen hundred pounds clear of the ground; whipped ten men at one time ; and believes that if he was six inches taller and built in proportion otherwise, he would be the best man in the world. This man with his wonderful proclivities came in contact with plain Mr* Haynes. Mr. Hammond made use of an iron maul weighing aboattwenty-five lbs, while plain Mr. Haynes used bis plain fists. Mr. Ham. mond finding thwmaul had no effect threw it aside and took up a spade, Mr. Haynes all the while putting mansard roofs over his eyes and causing the clarot to flow freely from the nasal appendage.
