By SHOSHANA HARPER Hanukkah at CBT On Sunday, Dec. 21, the Sisterhood of Congregation B'nai Torah will host its popular Hanukkah brunch. Hanukkah at CST On Sunday, Dec 21, at 5:45 p.m. Congregation Shaarey Tefilla will host its annual Hanukkah celebration and dinner. Light the candles and learn about Hanukkah through song, story, and dance. Yiddish Club Hanukkah On Sunday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m. in the Laikin Auditorium you can enjoy Yiddish songs and stories and a delicious festival meal in celebration of Hanukkah. Hanukkah on ice Bring your family and friends for this annual Hanukkah treat on Sunday, Dec. 21, from 1-3 p.m. at the Carmel Ice Skadium, sponsored by the Lubavitch of Indiana. In addition to skating, there is a live ice-skating show, a visit by Judah Maccabee, menorah lighting on ice, and an opportunity to dip your own Hanukkah candle and make different Hanukkah crafts to take home. Enjoy kosher snacks and hot chocolate too! The cost is $3 per person or $10 per family. You can also be a sponsor for $180 dollars. Skate rental is not included. My family and I have attended for several years, and it's a magnificent event for the entire Jewish community. I especially enjoy it since it's moved to Carmel where it's a pleasure to park. Matzoh Ball Billed as the "Greatest Singles Event of the Year," this year's Matzoh Ball will take place on Dec. 24 from 7-11:30 p.m. at the Bahama Breeze, 3815 E. 96th Street.
