Buy pizza for IDF soldiers Sometimes we need a small and concrete way to say "thank-you" to the men and women of the Israel Defense Forces. A very simple and relatively inexpensive way to do this is through www.pizzaidf.org. For as little as $16.95 you can send a kosher pizza and soda for 5 soldiers. There are also opportunities to send dried fruit for Tu B'Shvat, hot soup, or hamburgers. These little treats can really raise the morale of the soldiers. My husband still recounts with appreciation the occasions where his unit was treated to special meals during his stint in the IDF. You may also use your donation as an opportunity to honor someone. My father was very touched when he received the note that my brother had dedicated a couple of pizzas in honor of our dad for Hanukkah. This is a great tzedaka project as well.
