Hanukkah party for MDA On Saturday, Dec. 7, 6:30 p.m., a group of Israeli citizens living in Indianapolis have organized a Hanukkah celebration and fundraiser for the Jewish Red Cross in Israel. The event will take place at the Park Hoover Club House, 6442 Park Central Way. The entrance fee of $10 (adult), $5 (children 2 to 12), or $30 maximum per family includes delicious food, latkas, dancing, and fun All the fees will be donated directly to Magen David Adorn in Israel. Any additional contributions will gladly be

Congregation Beth-El Zedeck will honor Rabbis Dennis and Sandy Sasso for 25 years of devoted leadership to the community. The Sassos arrived in Indianapolis in 1977. They were the first practicing rabbinical couple in world Jewish history. Both have distinguished themselves with their words and deeds, and the Indianapolis community has benefited greatly from their 25year reign. Guest speakers include Rabbi Richard Hirsch, executive director of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Assocation, and Stuart Matlins, publisher of Jewish Lights Publishing. The oneg will be prepared and served by the BEZ Sisterhood. JCC youth overnight On Saturday, Dec. 7, 6:30 p.m., parents can drop their school-age sons and daughters for a JCC overnight, complete with kosher pizza dinner, snacks, games, making new friends, swimming, and
breakfast the next morning. Please pack a swimsuit for your offspring(s). Retrieval of children will be at 8 a.m. Sunday morning. The fee is $34 for JCC members and $44 for nonmembers. There is also a 10 percent sibling discount. BEZ dinner dance On Saturday, Dec. 7, 7:30 p.m.. Congregation Beth-El Zedeck will honor Rabbis Dennis and Sandy Sasso with a gala dinner dance featuring the band Double Exposure plus other surprises.
