Continued from prev. page days! In remembrance of this great occasion, Hanukkah, the feast of dedication, is observed every year for eight days, beginning with the 25th day of the month of Kislev. Since the time of th Maccabees the battle for religious freedom has been fought over and over again throughout the world. After each victory, grateful men and women and children have dedicated themselves to their traditions and kept alive the remembrance of the struggle for religious freedom. As we celebrate the festival of Hanukkah, this year and every year, let us always give thanks for the freedom which our ancestors won so bravely. May we always treasure this precious possession, and ever seek to build a world in which all men may live in freedom and peace. When the days of Mattathias drew near that he must
