(not for ladies) Men's Club had a terrific meeting last week, with Rabbi Jonathan Stein as guest speaker. He was great. He spoke about his recent visit to Russia, in his charming manner, and believe me it was a stirring and enjoyable talk. The NFL fellows were enthusiastic in their praise for Rabbi Stein. And hear this. He commented that he took along a Jewish Post and turning to me, said, "Norm, your column also went around Russia." (autographs - anyone?) Thanks, Rabbi Stein, for making the meeting a memorable one. Flash! Several weeks ago, the Professional Golf tournament was being held, when it started to rain. To keep the bags of clubs from getting soaked, the players placed rubberized covers over the bags. On the covers, in large letters, was stenciled "Seif Rain Covers". Rabbi Rosenbaum has had a very extensive background of rabbinic and educational services and also lived in Israel. He was congregational Rabbi for the Mikro Kodesh Anshe Tiktin Synagogue in Chicago and has also designed Judaic computer software programs and translation of academic materials from Hebrew to English. We know that Rabbi Rosenbaum and Cookie will be a wonderful addition to our community. Flash! tee hees.
