Incident In Baltimore Has A Happy Ending
By GISELA WEISZ 255-5019 NON-COMFORMER: Around Hanukkah, last year, on a TV gram in Baltimore, the mean ing of the holiday was discussed. Rabbi BleefeM and his family were invited to light the Menorah and say the blessings. Gisela The program was a live broadcast. The incongruity amused everyone, including Baltimore TV directors. They sent the videotape of the Bleefeld family’s appearance to Hollywood. First the original tape was aired on the Life's Most Embarrassing Moments. hosted by John Ritter. The audience reaction to the hilarious scene was so great that later the whole family, Rabbi Bradley Bleefeld, his wife, Merrie, and the two children, Marshall and Hershel, the latter the culprit, were invited to Hollywood to be interviewed. This time the host was Steve Allen. *** REUNION: Bebe and Bill
