She is the first in a new series, and President Navon watched as his wife, Ofira, cut the ribbon and flung the traditional champagne bottle breaking it on the bow of the sleek vessel which she named Aliya. The boat has a long range, a speed of 34 knots and is armed with Gavriel missiles and a 40 mm. gun. The ship was finished four months ahead of schedule.

Rothbard Reelected To Channel 20 Board Joe Rothbard has been reelected to the board of directors of WFYI, Indiana’s PBS TV station. The board is the governing body of the com-munity-owned and operated public television station, Channel 20. Michael Goldsmith To Be Bar Mitzvah HAMMOND - The bar mitzvah of Michael Eric Goldsmith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Goldsmith, will take place at services Saturday morning, Jan. 10 at Temple Beth Israel.
Marcy Chudnov has a fullproof recipe for a moist and flavorful coffee cake. She received this recipe from a friend of hers in Chicago years ago and it has been a favorite of hers since. My husband and I were so impressed with this cake I wanted to pass the recipe on to you. FRUIT FILLED COFFEE CAKE M: cup butter - room temp. 1 cup sugar 2 eggs - room temp. 2 cups of flour 1 level Tbs. baking powder Va tsp. salt 116 oz. can cherry pie filling Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs. Beat well. Add dry ingredients and cream well. Grease a 9“ x 9” pan. Spread half of dough liberally in pan using back of spoon. Cover with can cherry pie filling. Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls over the filling. Sprinkle with streusel toping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes til golden brown and top is crusty. STREUSEL TOPPING Vi cup sugar Vi cup flour Mix together 2 Tbs. butter Vfe cup chopped walnuts Cut butter in with knife to flour and sugar mixture, stir in
nuts.
This cake freezes well. Just cover with foil and when unexpected company arrives, pop the pan in the oven for a delicious treat. Births A daughter, Jessica, was Blocmfield, N.J. The Glanzmans’ two older children are Mitchell, seven, and Tracy, four
years old.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kolodny became the parents of a son, Adin David, on Nov. 4. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Birchman, Angola, Ind. and Mr. and Mrs. Max Kolodny, Bayside, N.Y. Mrs. Kolodny is the former Anne
Birchman.
A son, Michael Stuart, was bom on Nov. 6 to Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Seidenstein. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Leshnover, N.J. and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Seidenstein, N.J. Great-grand-mothers are Mrs. Anna Leshnover, N.Y. and Ida Feinberg, N.J. The boy received the Hebrew name Michael Sapir.
