Felicitate Father Fogle And Filial Female
By GISELA WEISZ 255-5019 BIS HUNDERT AND ZWANZIG: The invitations stated that they were born on the same day, 30 years apart, j For this celeW- w brationon A- David Fogle’s JJt 4B 1 60th and his daughter, Gisela Annie’s 30th birthday, more than 200 people gathered in the Broadmoor Country Club. One would instantly cheer up seeing the many floating balloons, lollipops and Tootsierolls gracing each table, already set with a differently decorated birthday cake, cloorfully heralding the names and ages of the birthday boy and girl. As soon as everyone settled in the gaily decorated room, a shrill whistle demanded attention. A brightly garbed well-wisher swept into the room, heading straight to Dave and Annie. In rhyme a Merry Minstrel, that she was, tipped her hat wished them both happy birthday and finished a string of histrionics on her knee, with hand on heart. First Libby Dave’s wife and Annie’s mother welcomed everyone, then David got to the microphone. He said he is a very happy person and feels wealthy because he has not one, but two loving families: one of his brothers and sisters and the other his wife and children. Couples filled the dancefloor the whole evening and guests happily showed their freshly acquired party gifts, Polaroid shots to each other. Everyone welcomed the Cornish Game hen in cherry sauce, a truly gourmet con-
coction. The fun was simply contagious. Sharing this memorable evening were the Fogle’s son Martin from Boston; Annie’s future mother and father-in-law, Mimi and Bill Spector, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Annie’s fiance, Andy Spector; Adam Brown, N.Y.; Nanette Smith, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Harry Fogle, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Sadie and Bill Shanski, St. Louis;, Terry and Louis Anton, Dorothy and Dave Abrams, Marian and Archie Aronstam, Marc Aronstam, Zeke Aronstam, Dolores and Keith Bromer, Roz and Milt Bohard, Debbie Bohard, Yettie and Ben Bornstein, Frances and Morris Bernstein, Elyse Bernstein, Shelle Bernstein, Betty and Morris Bryan, Beth and Bernie Berger, Betty and Jack Cohen, Carole and Gillie Cohen, Faye and Jack Dorfman, Charles Epstein, Connie and Irving Epstein, Esther Calderon, Esther and Fred Fogle, Adrienne and Dr. Norman Fogle, Sara and Dr. Phillip Fogle, Gerda Fogle, Barbara and Sid Feldman, Gladys and Lou Goldstein, Diane and Arine Goldberg, Gert Goldberg, Ben Golden, Michael Harden, Sylvia and Irv Kovitz, Marsha and Jack Leventhal, Sandra and Martin Lipp, Dora and Sam Levinsky, Susie and Marvin Mitchell, Esther and Amos Nahmias, Jeanne and Joe Nahmias, Shirley and Paul Pinkus, Ruth and Morton Rolsky, Bess and Joe Roth, Mack Rubin, Fran and A1 Sacks, Donna Schuchman, Bennie Schuchman, Shirley Schuchman, Janet and Max Simon, Sara and Joe Smith, Sara and Sid Sakowitz, Molly and Musty Weinstein and many others.
WEDDINGS REMEMBERED: Admixture of fun and sentimentality marked the celebration of Lucille and Alvin Cohen's 40th wedding anniversary. The gala gathering found the Cohen’s four daughters and many friends at the Broadmoor Country Club on Dec. 21. George Nicoloffs music was the background for the gourmet dinner. Son-in-law Max Nelson, master of ceremonies for the evening, asked friends for testimonials about the celebrants. They related memorable incidents from the past, describing Albie’s golf game in glowing colors
