Mondale Speaks At Fundraiser AtSimons

W aiters served the 50 guests a light luncheon catered by “Pleasant Peasant.” Larry Conrad, former Secretary of State, introduced the lierb Simon family and the dignitaries present after the meal. Robert McKinney said a few welcoming words to the vice president. Herb Simon also welcomed Mondale to his home and to Indiana. Vice-president Mondale was the next speaker. He spoke on the energy crisis and

the need to support the Democratic party. *** SEVEN AND MORE: Long before the TV. show “Roots”, Shirley Tick, Springfield. 111., was preoccupied with geneology. Where ever she went, she visited libraries in an attempt to collect data of her family. As a result of diligent and painstaking work of many ya^rs, the story of seven generations, complete with pictures, maps and family documents was put between covers by Mrs. Tick. One copy of it presented to each member of the huge family originating from Poland with more than 300 living members around the world. During Labor Day weekend, the first family reunion was held for the Tykocki descendents in Indianapolis. Most of the members have shortened the foreign-sounding name to Tick. Bedash And Deutsch To Marry In Boston

Eva Marie Balash will wed Eugene Deutsch in Boston, Mass, on Oct. 21. Rabbi Albert S. Goldstein will officiate at the ceremony. In the "State Street Roof” a reception will follow the service at the State Street Roof. Miss Balash is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Balash, New York City, N Y. Mrs. Michael Klopfer, Indianapolis and the late Mr. Joseph Deutsch are the parents of Mr. Deutsch. Miss Balash holds a B.S. from the City College of New York and an M.D. from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is a der-

matologist in private practice in Boston. Mr. Deutsch has a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University and is an engineer with “Camp, Dresser and McKee”, Boston. Both, Miss Balash and Mr. Deutsch arrived to the United States after the 1956 Hungarian revolution as refugees with their families. At the wedding ceremony Mrs. Jack Ungar, Long Island, N.Y. will be the matron of honor and the best man will be Mr. Blair Lohmeyer, Richmond, Virginia. After a trip to Vermont, the couple plans to reside in Brookline, Mass.

Eric and Bonnie Prystowsky, 9013 Sweetbay Court, recently moved to Indianapolis from Durham, N.C. Dr. Prystowsky is a cardiologist on the faculty of the I.U. School of Medicine. Originally from Philadelphia, Bonnie received her B.A. in English from Penn State University. Her hobbies include cooking, theater and reading. She is a member of Hadassah. Eric received his B.S. from Penn State and his M.D. from Mt. Sinai where he completed his medical training. He was previously on the faculty at Duke University. In his spare time Eric enjoys photography, golf, theater and classical music. The Prystow’sky’s have two children, David, 5 and Dannv, 2>>.
