Speaking On The Social Side

By PHYLLIS STEINBERG Call 846-6404 Write 9105 Spring Mill Road Indianapolis 46260 It’s just about downright impossible to put something over on alert and vibrant, Mrs. Fanny (Goldstein) Linderm a n . Her three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Sema) Sapper, Mrs. Bernard (Lea) Frank ovitz Mrs. Steinberg and Mrs. Jack (Mildred) Alboher really had to think of a corker to surprise their mother without her getting wind of the goings on. Then all of a sudden happy news came from Bernie Frankovitz’ sister, Helen Borinstein, that she had become engaged to Milt Goldstein providing Fanny’s daughters with the perfect occasion to host a party. Fanny received an invitation in the mail inviting her to a dinner in honor of the forthcoming marriage of Helen to Milt Gold-

stein to be held at the home of Sema and Ted Sapper. Fanny was taken completely by surprise when she arrived at the Sapper home and found out that the party was for her! Fanny’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sofnas came in from Daly City, Calif., to attend the party in her honor. Her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Cohen of Connersville, Ind., were also on hand to offer their congratulations. Other guests from Connersville, Ind., included Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Holden and Mr. and Mrs. James Spence. Also present at the birthday buffet dinner were nine of Fanny’s grandchildren, Paul, Natalie and Michael Sapper, Mona, Sandra, Shelly and Francine Frankovitz and Sam and Marvin Goldstein. Among the local guests wishing Fanny a happy 75th were Esther Simson, Esther Mitchell, Lena Levine, Ruth and Heinz Hammerschmidt, Rose Cohen, Bernice and Bill Morris, Betty and Irving Calderon, Rae and Harry Nahmias, Rose and Abe

Black, Ruth and Jack Meshulam and many more! It was a memorable and happy occasion for Mrs. Fanny (Goldstein) Linderman on her 75th birthday and we wish her many more happy and healthy birthdays in the years to come! * * * COLLEGE CORNER - Mrs. Sy (Gloria) Schwartz, mother of four children, decided to go back to college to get her Master’s Degree.
