THE JEWISH POST AND OPINION

Around And About With Sarann

(Continued from Preceding Pg.) Mrs. Robert Solow and Mrs. A1 Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Glanzman were very amused at a tale that Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Katz were telling a group surrounding them toward the end of the evening. Hart Hasten had said several times during the tour that he was going to invite everyone to a reunion once they were “back home again in Indiana,” and he did just that and everyone had a great time.

The Jewish Education Association will hold its annual fund-raising affair on the mall at Lafayette Center on April 8. You'll be very sorry if you aren’t there. Sheila (Mrs. Larry) Greenwald and a dedicated committee have worked for months to make this the outstanding affair of the spring season. _ The annual affair is always a great place to see just everyone that you know. This dance has always been supported by

the entire community. After the winter season, when we have a tendency either to stick close to home because of the nasty weather or leave Indianapolis for warmer climates, this dance offers the perfect opportunity to catch up on friends that you haven’t seen in an age. The theme of the evening is “Springtime in Israel.” Doesn’t that sound nice? Members of the Ladies Auxiliary are selling tickets. Sheila would b e delighted to see that a committee member hand delivered a dance ticket to your front door, if you would just give Sheila a call any time in the next few days. Our community Hebrew School really needs everyone’s support. It doesn’t matter whether you have children or not. What is important to us as a Jewish community, is that we have a fine school teaching the community’s Jewish children. This dance is the only fundraising event of the ladies auxiliary. See you there!

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Miss Charlene Schwartz and Miss Marsha Segal, who have recently been selected to pledge Alpha Epsilon Phi. Miss Jacquelin Gellis and Miss Deborah Gross have been asked to pledge Sigma Delta Tau. All four girls are pledges at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

The April production of Footlight musicals will be “Funny Girl” and there are several very familiar faces in the cast. Among those in the cast whom you know are Dorothy Abraham, Miriam Satinsky and Libby Fogle, who plays the role of Mrs. Brice. Get your tickets now, because you won’t want to miss this production.

The Indianapolis Chapter of B’nai B’rith Women 324 held its annual Scotch Bowling Party on Saturday, March 25, at the 421 Bowling Alley from 9 until 11 p.m.; and everyone present had a grand time. There was so much laughing and joking that it was amazL.g that there was any serious bowling; but with a committee like Mrs. James Gerstle and Mrs. Norton Smith, there was definitely some very keen bowling competition. Chairman of the event was Mrs. Laurence Greenwald and Mrs. Burton Weitzman was publicity chairman. Mrs. James Gerstle was in charge of trophies (and we might add that they were most attractive), and

Mrs. Norton Smith was in charge of flyers. Other members were Mrs. Sanford Fleeter, Mrs. Bruce Frank and Mrs. Edward Peril. As you all know, Mrs. Lawrence Seidman is president of the chapter. After the group was finished bowling, they all went to Julios Restaurant at 91st and Meridian

Street where everyone enjoyed a midnight snack and the trophies were awarded. During the evening, there were door prizes.
