typewriter once a week and pounding out all the things that I picked up from one source or another. Speaking of sources, I can’t begin to thank regular callers that have kept me informed about all of you this past year or so. You just don’t know how I appreciated all those phone calls, and I am sure that the gal who will take my place would really appreciate it if you would call her. I have decided not to tell you who will be doing the column from now on. You’ll have to tune in next week to find out. I just love surprises, don’t you? I’ll give you a hint. It is someone that we all know, who keeps herself active. She has children and you are going to adore reading what she
writes.
I would like to thank Mr. Gabe Cohen, who has been so kind about all my misspelled words and other goofs. I really have had a grand time. Now on the tidbits that I have collected over the past week or so:— time is growing near for the Hebrew Academy Bus Trip to Chicago. Mrs. Ronald Gray told us that the seats are going very fast; so if you want to be a part of this great day, call Rachel (Mrs. Gray) now. I’ll wait while you call. For those of you who haven’t heard about this great day, let me be the first to tell you all about it. The bus will leave early in the morning from the JCCA and arrive in Chicago before lunch. The bus will stop in the Loop for those who have to do some shopping of a personal nature. For those gals who wish to buy furniture for their homes, there will be a decorator aboard who will take them into the Merchandise Mart and into selected showrooms and assist
them in making the proper purchases. Doesn’t this sound like a great day? Even if you don’t buy a thing, it certainly sounds like fun. I mean, it beats going to Glendale. What a change-of-pace day! This outing is planned for April 20, so the weather should be just great. Don’t forget to call Rachel! Arrangements have been made by Gausepothl World Travel.

The Indianapolis Chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women honored one of its own this past week — Josephine (Finnie) Schreier, who was made an honorary director by the Council. Finnie is a very special person to our local Council Chapter. Finnie and her husband were brought to Indianapolis by the Services for Foreigners division of Council. Once Finnie and her husband were settled, Finnie became active in every aspect of Council, and for many years Finnie has worked unselfishly with the Golden Age Group which is cosponsored by National Council of Jewish Women and' The Jewish Community Center. We wish to add our congratulations to a woman who really deserves the praise that was showered on her by Council this past

• # * Mr. and Mrs. Hart Hasten entertained in their beautiful home which is located in North Willow Farms, a few weeks ago. It was a great party. The Hastens invited all of those who were on the January Federation Mission to Israel to their home for a reunion. All of the Naptowners on the mission were invited. 'Die invitation for the gathering had been composed in verse by Been Maurer. Guests were urged to bring their movies, slides and snapshots of the trip and the evening was spent viewing these classic pictures as well as reliving every exciting moment of this
tour.
Bud Mossier entered the Hasten home carrying a crate of oranges which Jie had shipped in from the Holy Land expressly for the Hasten party. At the evening’s end, each guest took home a couple of oranges from
the crate.
The only person in the crowd of 50 who was not a Hoosier, who had been on bus number three or four in Israel, was Clara Hipschman, from St. Louis, who was the houseguest of the Hastens and a very dear
to all those present. Everything was really delicious. Definitely not a night for a diet. Chatting about their guide in Israel were Mr. and Mrs. Milton Abel and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Alpert. Joining the conversation about the superior quality of guides were Mr. and Mrs. Simund Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Frisch. - Laughing at some of the “funny” slides were Mr. and Mrs. Mort Waldman, Mr. and (Continued on Next Page) MODUS NEEDED # Fashion a Photography a Television ENJOY AN EXCITING, REWARDING CAREER CALL 635-7611 (No Obligation)
