David Frost: Hey, you mentioned “the man upstairs” while we were chatting in that last segment. The — I know you’ve been — you were — at one stage in your life, you were an agnostic, were you not? Sammy Davis, Jr.: Yes. Frost: And then you were a Catholic at one time? — Davis: Yes, I was Catholic until I was 17. Frost: And then you were agnostic? Davis: Yes. From a kid to the time I was 17, I was a Catholic, and then I just sort of all over it all until I was about 30.

Baer, cochairmen of pacesetters division; Mrs. Herbert Alphern and Mrs. Martin Feferman, co-chair-man of large gifts; Mrs. David Berebitsky and Mrs. Morris Wolff, co-chairmen of Lifesavers, and Mrs. Rael Brown and my own lovely daughter-in-law, Paulette (Mrs. Harlan Katz), co-chairmen of the general division. These chairmen are responsible for securing volunteers, training them and the supervising them as they begin their solicitations on a one-to-one basis. Temple Beth-El are making spectacular plans for their seventh annual Crystal Ball. It will be held on Saturday, April 29 at the Indiana Club at 8:30 p.m. A cocktail buffet will be served.
