Miss Wendy Fried Becomes Bride Of Michael Jacobson
Miss Wendy Ann Fried and Michael Phillip Jacobson were married Saturday evening August 22, in the chapel of Temple Israel in Detroit, Mich. Rabbi Leon Fran performed the double-ring marriage ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Avery C. Fried of Southfield, Mich, and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Jacobson, 802 Springmill Lane. Miss Linda Fried attended her sister as Maid of Honor and Bruce Jacobson, the groom’s brother, was Best Man.
The bride, a member of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, and the groom, a member of Phi Epsilon Pi Fraternity, are both April graduates at the University of Michigan. She will teach at the Indianapolis public schools at School 33 and he will attend Indiana University Medical School. Following the wedding trip to Toronto and Montreal, they will reside at the Carriage House
West.

Miss Nancy Jane Sax became the bride of Mr. A1 J. Wachter, 3930 N. Adams Court, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 at Beth-El Zedeck Temple. Immediately following the ceremony there will be a reception and dinner at Brodey’s restaurant. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Zelmar Louis Sax, 535 W. 73rd Street, and Mr. and Mrs. Leps Wachter, Milwaukee, Wise. Maternal grandparents are Mr. Joseph Heidovitz, Pittsburgh, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rudner, Wheeling, W. Va. The bride wore a long empire ivory A-line gown of peau de soie with Alencon lac^ appliqued with seed pearls. She carried a cascade of ivy, white roses, stephanotis centered around an orchid. Dressed in long hot pink chiffon gowns, empire waist, long puffy sleeves, trimmed in dubonnet velvet, the bride’s attendants were Miss Joyce Marcus and Miss Natalie Dock of Indianapolis, Miss Janice LeVine of Baton Rouge, La., and Michelle Laskin of Milwaukee, Wise. The bride was graduated from Indiana University. She is a teacher in the Carmel Clay Schools and she is working on her master’s degree at IU-PUI. The groom attended the University of Wisconsin and is a member of the Zeta Beta Tau
