THE JEWISH POST AND OPINION

IS

Miss Beverly Kuperstein To Be Wed In January Kite

PRE-ELECTION PARTY The election fever was pitched high this past week, with celebrations beginning before the polls were even erected, let alone opened. A swinging nonpartisan party at the ISTA building was hosted by Ron and Harriet Leve, children of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Leve, who also attended and chuckled at the posters of all the candidates which had been altered slightly. Marty and Natalie Kroot, David and Myra Epstein, and Milt and Pauline Siegel had a laugh at the Nixon poster with the heading “Would yot let this man sell you a car?”, not to mention the smiles on the faces of Joe and Charlotte Zukerberg, Sharon and Jay Doner, Don and Audrey Leffel and Alan and Babs Cohen when they passed the H.H.H. poster with Hubert smiling in a superman suit. Steve and Sorelle Ancel, along with Flo and Lenny Weinman and Helen and Julius Brown enjoyed the satirical political themes, the great rock music and the results of the sketches that were done of the guests by an artist who was present for the occasion. ATTENTION HIPPIES! There will be a “freak-out” at the North Willow Farms Pad. Grab your Bag (I think) and you’ll be provided with “Bread and Steed” by Daisy and King

Duchon, Baby Breath and Wheels Lubin and Azalea and De’ Judge R e s n i c k. Your Hang up is Hippie Threads and when Margie and Dick Klapper, Betty-Sue and Harry Schankerman, Marcie and Rich Sandler and Shiela and Jerry Tamler received their “Glue-pot” invite they “Schukled” over to the phone and said they’d “trip” over, picking up Judy and Steve Jacobs and Phil and Vivian Pecar along the way. So who forgot Tiny Tim??? BIRTHDAY GREETINGS A luncheon in honor of Carole Stein’s birthday (Nov. 9th,) was given at the home of Ann Druker, one of the nice things that Rita Berman, Dawn Duchon, Judy Jacobs and Charlotte Schuff do for each other to make their birthdays a little sweeter. They have gone out to lunch to celebrate in the past when it was Joanne Chappel’s or Barbara Berkowitz’s or Ellen Lorch’s or Elaine Lubin’s birthday, but Carole likes “at-home” entertaining, so the girls got together at Ann’s.

Another birthday, but this time a surprise, was for Ben Schuff. The birthday-boy was surprised at his own front door when Norman and Pat Klein and Dawn and Bill Duchon showed up to take the Schuffs to Mooresville for dinner. Happy birthday Carole and Ben and if we might take a word or two, extend a speedy recovery to the Duchons’ little boy who has been ill. FAREWELL AND GOOD LUCK Our town is losing a lovely couple when Norman and Charlotte Stabler move to Cleveland. Charlotte is quite an antique buff and hopes there will be as much “junking” available to her there as she found here. Good Luck to the Stahlers and let’s hope they visit once in a while.
