Fraternity Unit Plans Dance And Barbecue

The Beta Iota Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi held a barbecue and dance July 17th on the patio at the home of Steve Sherman, 1722 Shawnee Road. Some 26 couples enjoyed the affair, marred only by the storm that drove them into the house for dancing. There were boys in from Gary, Chicago, Louisville, and St. Louis to join with the group as prospective pledges. David Adler, recently elected President of the Fraternity came in from Chicago to attend. Barry Glazier, was rushee chairman. Among Indianapolis boys who attended were Todd Goldstein, Stanley Green, Ed Hirschberg, Barry Pakula, Sam Greenberg, Peter Weisz, Mason Goodman, Mike Kentor, Joel Selig, Ted Solomon and Barry Glazier.

Cohen Memorial A monument to the memory of the late Mrs. Esther F. Cohen will be unveiled on Sunday, August 1 at 2 p.m. at the B’nai Torah Cemetery. Rabbi Nandor Fruchter and Cantor Yitzchak Jade will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the dedication.

(He “ate” the profits! It only cost me one dollar and a half to finance the project! (Reminds me of a sign on a discount house! “Closed”! “We undersold everybody!”)

Miss Marsha Lutz Becomes Bride Of Howard Z. Borin

Miss Marsha Lynne Zutz became the bride of Howard Z. Borin in Wilmington, Del., at the Hotel DuPont on Sunday, July 11. Following a wedding trip to Europe, the couple will live at 2507 Brewster Drive. Indianapolis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry David Zutz. The groom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Abe Borin. The bride wore a peau de soie gown embroidered with white seed pearls. Her veil was secured by a seed pearl-encrusted bow. She carried white spray orchids. Mrs. Martin J. Kroot of Indianapolis was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Phoebe Berkowitz of New Y'ork, Miss Linda Bornstein of Lorain, 0., and Miss Arlene Berger of Wilmington, Del. The attendants wore yellow and white organza and carried yellow organdy muffs trimmed with while spray orchid. Michail Siegel of Indianapolis was best man. Ushers were Martin J. He is a member of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. Mustangs, T-Birds In 1st Place Tie At mid-season the men’s softball league is a deadlock. Tied for first place are the Mustangs, coached by Marshall Becker, and the T-Birds, coached by Noel Becker. Both teams have a 3-1 record. A double-header is scheduled for this Sunday when the Mustangs will play the A. K.s and the Redbirds will play the TBirds. In the second games the Mustangs will play the Redbirds and the A. K.s will play the T-Birds. In the Teen league, the Swedges, captained by John Tzucker, hold a 2-1 record for the league leadership. Tied for second are the Mets and Paul’s Stars, each with a 1-1 record. In last place is A Z A. with an 0-1 record.
