Chairman Sees Success
For Israel Bond Drive
In announcing the establishment of special honor categories to meet the challenge posed by Israel’s ambitious Decade of the Negev program, Dave David, Indianapolis general chairman for the Israel Bond Campaign now underway, expressed confidence that local Jewry would prove equal to the occasion. “I feel sure,” he said, ‘‘that everyone will want to do a little extra to put this drive over the top. The new categories only reflect this attitude.” The first highlight of the local Israel Bond campaign will take Reception Held For Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Julius Glanzman and children, Roberta and Heather, 923 W. 77 N. The reception was given by the parents, Mr, and Mrs. Abraham Bayers. Attending the party from here were: Miss Marcia Black, 5867 Broadway and also Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zogott and son Howard of Philadelphia, Pa.

Ricki Magnes Wins $1,000 Lilly Grant Ricki Magnes, daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Moses Magnes, 908 Union, senior at Manual High School, has won the 1962-63 Lilly Endowment Scholarship for her paper entitled “India in Perspective” and her outstanding ability in the Junior Doctoral Oral Examination. Sne will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the school of her choice, on June 8th, at the All School Honors Day. Her choice may be Long Island University, New York. Ricki was the national finalist of the National Merit Scholarship program and is a reporter on the school paper, “Booster.”

Shipping Line Phillip Goldsmith, formerly of Indianapolis, who has been residing iii Mexico City for the past 2V4 years, has been appointed executive assistant of the Natumex Line of Mexico City. He will be on the SS Acapulco, 24,000 ton cruise ship which sails between Acapulco, Mexico, and Los Angeles, Cal. This ship will be at the World's Fair in Seattle, Wash, and will serve as an extension to the Mexican exhibit to encourage a continuing atmosphere of understanding and friendship between Mexico and the United States.
Names Hoosier and their 15 month-old daughter Rosita, will stay with the ship until October 21, when the World’s Fair will be over. Goldsmith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Goldsmith, 3074 North Park Ave., the grandson of Mrs. Rachel Fogel, and has a brother Aaron.
