By Harriette Adelsman The Jewish Welfare Federation’s campaign to raise $575,350 for more than 65 health and welfare agencies will get a boost from the community’s teen-agers. Under the chairmanship of Dick Jacobs, V.P. of Swank the Teen Campaign committee is hard at work. Dick will be assisted in the planning by Nancy Bassler, president of Debettes. Fund raising plans currently under condieration center on a “Stunt Night” where a pledge card would serve as a ticket to view a variety show of “stunts.” Groups participating in the activities include the Debettes, Swank, AZA, USY, Temple Teens, BBG, POK, LINK and Councilettes. THIS WEEK’S congratulations go to Alan Goldstein who wrote one of eight winning essays in a North Central government class essay contest. Alan’s entry, one of more than 200, entitled him to attend free the Cold War Seminar at the Murat Temple February 22. Among the speakers was the president of the American Bar
Association.

In spite of the heavy snow which hit Indianapolis again at sectional time this year, Marsha Becker, Janie Calderon, Terri Goldberg and Karyl Stokes trudged down to Shortridge last Saturday morning to take the American College Tests (ACT) which arc required entrance examinations for Ohio State University and Miami University in Oxford, O. JOANNE ACKERMAN, Mike Caplan and Suzi Pels are busily rehearsing for their parts in a Ripples act, “De Crime of de Chime.” (Did I finally spell the title right,Joanne?) Bif Fischer can now tell anyone interested how it feels to drop a shoe while sitting in the bleachers. Bif lost a red flat in the middle of a North Central pep session. She then spent the other half of the session trying to figure out how to retrieve the shoe. Note to Renee I^effel: You won’t have to lug your records to the Center’s teen lounge each Sunday from now on. A juke box, which will have new records each week, has been installed. STAN SCHERR is spending his working hours at the Star-News building as a copy boy for the newspapers. For anyone who has ever been curious about what is located on the top floor, Stan imparts this bit of information: a lavish pent-house apartment for Eugene Pulliam himself overlooks Pennsylvania Street.
