Fourteen B'nai Torah Youths

Will Be Confirmed Sunday

Fourteen youths will be confirmed at services at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 14, ’ at B’nai Torah Congregation. The following wili be confirmed: Richard Atlas, 4053 N. Arlington; Albert Bearman, 2828 Park; Sherry Levy, 4462 Indianoia; Carol Lockman, 4353 N. College; Evelyn Resnick, 726 E. 10th; Harold Reciman, 3228 E. 38th; Harry Sacks, 6145 Riverview. Barry Salavon,, 3063 Adams; Thomas Segal, 4815 Guilford: Esther Silverman, 37i0 Central; Paula Snyder 4126 Fulton; Marcia Solomon, 3110 N. New Jersey; Irene Weiss, 6319 N. Delaware and Cynthia Zeckel, 4053 Ruckle. SEVENTEEN children were honored at the closing exercises of the religious school of B’nai Torah Congregation for faithfully attending and participating in the Junior Congregation services during 1960-61. Honored were: Marshall Silberberg, Alan Horwitz, Fred Glogower, Danny Goldstein, Rod Glogower, Harry Kaplan, Alan rey Frank, Michael Zeckel, Fred Zeckel, Cynthia Zeckel, Paula Snyder, Marsha Snyder, Alex Csillag, Ronnie Lazar and Gary Glogower. were presented to each-worship-per. - SPECIAL PRIZES will be given to Rod Glogower, Fred Glogower, .Danny Goldstein, Alan Horwitz, Marshall Silberberg and Harry Kaplan for their services as hazonim and rabbis. These awards will be presented at the confirmation serv-

Gary Posner, a teacher at JEA, is in charge of the Junior Congregation services at B’nai Torah. Stephen Calderon To Be Bar Mitzva Stephen Calderon, son of Mr and Mrs. Charles Calderon, will be bar mitzva on May 20 at BethE1 Temple. Stephen will also participatein the Kiddush on Friday evening, May 19. A reception will follow both services. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Sam Calderon and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Blum of Paterson, N.J.

City of Hope to See Exhibition by Hypnotist Bernard Nall, hypnotist, will present an exhibition before a regular meting of City of Hope at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at the B’nai Torah Synagogue.

Heppner Heads Choban Lodge The George M. Choban Lodge 2192 of B’nai B’rith elected Ernest G. Hepper its president for the 1961-1962 term at its reguular meeting held at the Continental Hotel. Other officers elected' were first vice-president, Seymour Schwartz; second vice-president, Herbert B. Weinman, third vicepresident, Phillip Smith; secretary, Arthur Meyers; financial secretary, Dr. Harold Cohen; treasuurer, George M. Choban Jr.; chaplain, Harold L.. Lipschultz (retiring president). Civil Rights Group Becomes Permanent Rufus Kuykendall, prominent Indianapolis Negro attoi’ney and chairman of the Indiana Conference on Civil Rights Legislatio, has announced that the advisory committee of his organization has approved a plan to make the coordinating civil rights group operative on a year around basis.
