U.S.Y.’s one day membership drive will be Sept. 11. Membership for the year is $3.00. The following Sunday a dinner dance will climax the drive; all paid-up members will be admitted free. Gary Moss, president of Central Region U.S.Y. will be here for the affair, along with other membei’s of his board.

Temple Teens has had two members appointed to the Board of the Ohio Valley Federation of Temple Youth, Jerry Ancel, program chairman and Sally Cook, histoi'ian. A WEEK ago Thursday night 170 kids attended the center’s weekly informal getrtogether for teens. Dance contests were held. Henry Dobrowitz highlighted the evening by winning the boys’ twist event, Carol Levan won the girls’. Deenie Leibowitz and Mickey Jacks took honors in the waltz and Andy Mathis won the jitterbug. Donna Wides and Dale Smulyan gave a farewell party at the Meridian Plaza for Jeanne Decker who has moved to Fla. That’s one gal we’re really going to miss. . . . Susie Blumenthal and

A farewell party was given for Linda Prager. Linda left for Paris to spend her junior year of college studying at the Sorbonne. Sue Steinmetz is another with a job at Blocks. It seems a lot of gals are eager to work there. (Wonder if the fact that there is a boy’s college board at the downtown store has anything to do with it?) It won’t be long ’til - - - See ’ya in a week.

"The Caine Mutiny' To Be Shown at Center ‘“The Caine Mutiny” will be the closing film in the ‘Starlight Cinema” series of the Jewish Community Center, 6701 Hoover rd. Showing will be at 9 p.m. Sept. 4, oh the Center patio. The film is based on Herman Wouk’s well-known novel. Stars are Humphrey Bogart, Jose Ferrer, Van Johnson and Fred Me* Murray. Admission is 65 cents per person, or $1.25' per couple. In case of rain, the program will be moved indoors.
