NEXT BETH EL ZEDECK FORUM LECTURE TO FEATURE RABBI DAVID ARONSON
Rabbi David Aronson will bo the next guest speaker in the series of forums sponsored by the Beth-El Zedeck forum committee at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 24. Dr. Aronson is the past national president of the Rabbinical Assembly of America, and the author of “The Jewish Way of Life,” as well as a number of scholarly articles. He is the associate editor of the American Jewish World of Minneapolis, a community in which he served for more than 35 years. He has been elected Rabbi Emeritus of BethEl synagogue in Minneapolis, and has now moved to Los Angeles. DURING HIS years in Minneapolis he served on the Governor’s Human Relations Commission, appointed successively by four governors, and he was the first clergyman to receive the Minneapolis Distinguished
Citizen Citation. Dr. Aronson is now on the faculty of the University of Judaism in Los An-
geles.
His topic in his center lecture will be “Jewish Moral Principles for the Modern World.” The functions of Jewish Moral Principles in community life are now widely discussed in many parts of American Jewry. DR. ARONSON will deal with, this subject out of his wealth of rabbinic scholarship and his practical wisdom gained in 40 years of rabbinical service, according to Rabbi Harry Z. Sky of Beth-El. A special invitation to attend this lecture has been extended to the former members of the Minneapolis Jewish community who have known and loved Dr. Aronson for his wit and wisdom as well as his remarkable qualities as friend and guide.

JCC Theater Sets Tryouts The Center Theater Workshop of the Jewish community center announces tryouts for its first Theater - In - The-Woods summer production, “The Big Knife,” by Cliffoi'd Odets. Butler Symphony To Concertize April 24 The Butler University Little Symphony, Dr. Igor Buketoff conducting, will appear in concert at the World War Memox-ial at 3 p.m. Sunday,' April 24. The program will begin with the familiar Overture to Px-orne-theus, Op. 43 by Beethoven, followed by Arnold Schoenbei'g’s Chamber Symphony No. 2.
Fort Wayne Temple To Award Honor To Dr. N. H. Gladstone
FT. WAYNE (P-O) — Dr. N. H. Gladstone, Ft Wayne physician, has been selected as “Man of the Year” by the brotherhood of the Achduth Vesholm Temple. This award has been made only four times in 20 years. DR. GLADSTONE is the past president of the Temple and has been on the Jewish Federation board for many years. He was a charter fhember and first state vice-px'esident of the Indiana Academy of General Pi’actice in 1948. He is active in the B’nai B’rith, Jewish War Veterans,, Zionist Organization of America, Bnai Ja cob congregation and was cam-
