'Hi-Yo Silver!’ Rings At Center Jamboree The Jewish Community Center Assn, junior gameroom will be the setting'for a chUdren’s western jamboree at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20. Joe Hickerson will be featured with his guitar, leading the youngsters in songs of the American West. Along with the singing there will be some special surprises. Boys and girls are asked to dress in western costumes for this event. Admission is free to all youngsters showing a JCC membership card.

Sally is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Breskin, members of Sinai Temple Congregation, Michigan City. Mr. Lubell is from Brooklyn. New York. BAER VISITS CHILDREN Oscar Baer, 3021 N. Delaware is on a visit to his daughter and son in Los Angeles, and to another son in Modesto, Calif., all former Hoosiers. Baer will' return shortly beforePassover.
Robert Stolkin Dies; Finance Firm Head
Robert B. Stolkin, 66-year-old president of the Indiana Finance Corp., died Saturday, March 19, in Methodist Hospital after a six-month illness. BORN IN Philadelphia, he resided in Indianapolis 60 years. His home was 5810 Washington blvd. Long active in community and Jewish affairs, Mr. Stolkin also was a pioneer in the automobile finance field. In addition to the finance corporation, Mr. Stolkin also was founder and president of the Used Car Loan Co. Inc., Used Car Finance Co. Inc., and Indiana Finance Co. Inc. He started one of the nation’s first automobile finance companies nearly 40 years ago in Indianapolis. MR. STOLKIN was honorary president of Beth-El Zedeck Tern pie and sei’ved four years as state chairman for Israel Bonds. The Sisterhood of the Beth-El Temple postponed its regular

ROBERT B. STOLKIN Monday meeting because of the death of Mr. Stolkin. During World War II he received two citations from Treasury Department for the sale of more than $5,000,000 in United States Defense Bonds. He also received numerous awards in connection with his Israel Bond work. MR. STOLKIN was on the board of governors of the Zionist organization and the board of directors of the Jewish Community Center. He was chairman of many United Jewish Appeal campaigns and was active in the Jewish Welfare Federation. HE WAS a member of the Broadmoor Country Club, Columbia Club, B’nai B’rith, Monument Masonic Lodge and the Borinstein Home for the Aged. Funeral services were held Sunday, in the Beth-El Temple, with burial in Beth-El cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann Stolkin; a son, Harold H.; three daughters, Mmes. Sam Wides, Myron Kirsh and Sam Smulyan; and 10 grandchildren, all of Indianapolis.

Melvin Weiss Dies At the Age of 49 Melvin M. Weiss of 6833 Oakwood Trail, South dr., died Sunday, March 13, at the age of 49. Weiss was born in New York City, but lived here lor the last 13 years, where he was a salesman for Kent Clothing Co Weiss was a veteran of the :ast world war. He was a member of Beth-Ll and belonged t oits men’s club. Survivors include his widow, Lena Weiss; his daughter. Mrs. Stanley Jacobs of Indianapolis; another daughter, Essie Weiss; a brother, Max; a sister, Daisy Fine all of New York. Burial was in Ohav Zedeck Cemetery, Tuesday. March 15.
