Robert Briscoe's Daughter To Become A Nun NEW YORK (P-O)—A daughter of Robert Briscoe, former Jewish lord mayor of Dublin, has denounced the Jewish faith and will become a nun. This was disclosed last week by close relatives of Briscoe here. Briscoe was Dublin’s first Jewish lord mayor. He served from 1956-57. He lost re-election by one vote. After leaving office, he spoke on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal throughout this country. Briscoe has four sons who are very active in the Dublhi Jewish community. He also has three daughters. The girl, 22, was described by Briscoe’s relatives as being “always very remote from anything Jewish.’’ Letters from the former lord mayor that reached New York last week said he was “very much disturbed with what took place’’ and he “can’t do anything about it.’’

Pan Am General Dynamics Deny Owning Spa

NEW YORK (P-O) — Pan American Airways and General Dynamics denied ownership in the bias-ridden Castle Harbour hotel in Bermuda. A General Dynamics spokes man said, “We don’t own any hotel in Bermuda. We never owned Castle Harbour.” A Pan American spokesman said, “We have no knowledge

about Castle Harbour, and don’t have anything to do with this resort.” The POST and OPINION disclosed last week that hotel representative, William P. Wolfe, was given three years to ‘rid” the hotel in Tucker’s Town, Bermuda of its Jewish clientele. Prior to the new management of the Castle Harbour, the well-

known hotel had been frequented by Jewish guests.
