STATE PLAYWRITING CONTEST

A state-wide, play-writing contest designed to bring in an original script for fall production in the Theati'e-in-the-Woods has been announced by Mrs. James P. Leeds, president of the Jewish community center’s Theater Workshop. OPEN TO anyone living in the

Any Indiana resident is eligible to enter the contest, whether a previously published author of not. The manuscript submitted, however, may not be one that has been published. Complete contest rules and instructions are now available at the center.

Bnai Torah Men Pick Candidates The candidates for the “Sweetheart Queen” of the B’nai Torah men’s club Valentine dance Sunday, Feb. 14 at the congi*egation vestry are Mines. Archie (Marian) Aronstam, Julius (Annabelle) Beilach, Jack (Faye) Dorfman and Louis (Gladys) Goldstein. Each person attending the dance will be provided with a ballot and will cast-one vote for their favorite candidate. The candidate receiving the most votes will be declared “Queen”. Irving Liebowitz, Indianapolis Times columnist, will crown the “queen”. Liebowitz has had wide experience in crowning beauty contest winners. Music for the evening will be by Ted Lang and his orchestra.

Federation Leaders to Attend 1st UJA Midwest Conference

A dozen Jewish Welfare Federation leaders ax-e making plans to attend a thx-ee-day United Jewish Appeal leadership institute in Chicago Feb. 12-14. They are Mrs. Jack A.
