Greets Rabbi Rozwaski
LAFAYETTE (P-O) — Rabbi Chaim Rozwaski has assumed nis duties as spiritual leader of Con•gregation Sons of Abraham, announced Sidney Berger, the congregation’s president. Rabbi and Mrs. Rozwaski were feted at a reception given in their honor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bei’ger, Dec. 27. Over half the members of the Jewish community were present. Rabbi Rozwaski was formerly associated with Congregation Beth Hillel V.N.M. of Chicago. BORN IN Poland in 1933, he spent the war years in the ghetto of his native city and with the partisans. In 1948 Rabbi Rozwaski came to Winnipeg, Canada, where he became a citizen. There he attended high school and was graduated from Maimonides college. In 1952 he came to Chicago in order to study at the Hebrew Theological college, now in Skokie, of which he is a graduate. RABBI Rozwaski holds a B.A. in literature from Roosevelt university, Chicago, and has done two years of graduate work *in philosophy at Northwestern uni
versity, and holds a certificate from the Hebrew university of Jerusalem, as well as a B.H.L, degree from the Hebrew Theological college in Skokie. He has serviced on the staff of.th e B’nai B’rith Summer Camp and the YMHA in Winnipeg for several consecutive years and has also been religious director of the Hebrew Speaking Camp Massad, sponsored by the Hebrew Day School of Winnipeg. He has been teaching at Hebrew schools since 1950, and served for two years as principal of the Budlong Jewish center, Chicago, and in this capacity was also in charge of adult education. The rabbi is married to the fox-mer Roberta Koppel of Brooklyn. They have two sons, David Bezalel and Yoseph Shalom,
