Natives of the Missouri city, the Sloofmans are now living at 5264 N. -College. Mr. Sloofman is a traveling salesman in Southern Indiana for a national disinfectant company.

While the newly formed Committee for Befter Schools candidate representative Dr. Car] A Kuether and the Citizens School Committee candidate Mrs. John Burkhart did not always agree on the type of policy they might follow if elected, both went on record as being in opposition to the current practice of released time for religious education. The panel, moderated by Mrs. Alan Dale, was informative, but there was a feeling that the moderator deftly refrained from asking any submitted questions that would cause controversy. The released time question came from the floor. As one of the audience said, it would have been more helpful to have all of the candidates .present in order to see where they stand on various issues.
