JERUSALEM (P-O)—The 61 world-famous J.ews polled on the question of “who is a Jew" answered almost unanimously in favor of the Orthodox interpretation—the child of a Jewish mother, it was revealed here. David Ben-Gurion, who asked for the views of important Jews throughout the world, revealed that 90 per cent plumped for the strict Jewish religious law interpretation. Although a number of those who were asked for opinions were Orthodox, many Conservative and Reform Jews also were included in the unusual poll.
