Sinai Synagogue Nears Completion in South Bend

SOUTH REND—The new Sinai Synagogue and Religious School incorporates both traditional design and modernistic symmetry. It stands in Sunnymede Heights, one of the finest locations in South Bend, and cover an area of 420 x 300 feet. The synagogue’s sanctuary has a seating capacity of more than 500. A small chapel will be used for daily worship. The social • •

hall has a seating eapacity of approximately 600 and will be used as a banquet hall and for community functions with a

kosher kitchen.

The Religious School includes eleven class rooms. An assembly hall and director’s room will be constructed. Plans also include a large nursery room, library and rabbi's study. The synagogue is in its final stages of completion.

South Bend’s Sinai Synagogue To Lay Cornerstone On Sunday SOUTH BEND—The cornerstone for the new Sinai Synagogue will be laid at ceremonies beginning at 1:30 p. m.
