F. E, P. C. Meeting Monday At South Bend By MBS. JOSEPH TOMBER Special SOUTH BEND—The Rev. Preston Bradley, of the People's Church, Chicago, will speak at a meeting at the Progress Club at 8 p. m. Monday under the sponsorship of the St. Joseph County committee for a permanent Fair Employment Practices Commission. He will discuss religious and racial discrimination in employment. There will be no charge for the lecture.
Hadassah Plans for Week— The Hadassah supper and card party will be held in the Hebrew Institute Sunday. Final arrangements were made by a committee, including the Mmes. Sol Gilman, Murray Gebler, A1 Freedman, William Frankfort, William Stein, Sam Pollock, M. S. Fisher, Maurice Nevel, Milton Hoffman, Ralph Berman, Emanuel Liss, Isaac Ochstein, Mitchel Kahn, Sam Stein, Philip Oestreiker, Henry Rifkin, Eli Gewurz, Charles Feig, Marcus Gilman, Jacob Mandleowitz, Morris Boorda, Maurice Marcus, Kurt Simon, Phillip Frank and Samuel Price, chairman. The Hadassah Oneg Shabbat at 1:30 p. m. tomorrow at the home of Mrs. Harry Coffman, 627 W. Washington St., will hear Mrs. A. M. Rine review “Focus.” The regular Hadassah meeting will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at Temple Beth El. Pioneer Women's Banquet— The Donor Banquet of the Pioneer Women will be held at 6:30 p. m. Thursday, April 4, at the Oliver Hotel. Helen Waren will speak, and Henry Fefferman will be toastmaster. Mrs. Louis Katz and Mrs. Sol Wolvos are co-chair-men. Congress Meeting Tuesday— The South Bend branch of the American Jewish Congress will meet at 8 p. m. Tuesday at the Hebrew Institute to hear a review of Milton Steinberg’s “Partisan Guide to the Jewish Problem” by Mrs. Carl Grosser. A. Z. A. Boys Travel -South Bend A. Z. A. boys who attended a convention of Gary, East Chicago and Fort Wayne groups in Gary last Sunday are Dick Leviton, Pat Trauhe, Ted Minkow, Irving Margowsky, Joe Glaser, Norman Rubin, Alan Slutsky, Bernard Marcus, Irvin Boor, A1 Farber, Lorin Rifkin, Norman Gerson, Hal Davis, Phil Jacobowitz, Paul Goldberg and Louis Rosenberg. They were accompanied by Advisors Morris Jacobson and Seymour Reisman. Men’s Club Elmer Gertz, Chicago attorney, will speak on “What Is Wrong With Our Newspapers?” at a meeting of the Hebrew Orthodox Men’s Club at 8 p. m. Wednesday in the Hebrew Institute.

Elkhart Brotherhood Hears Victim of Hazis Sprrlal ELKHART—Dr. Manfred Arie of New York, formerly professor of criminal law at the University of Vienna, district attorney and judge in that city, who was persecuted duhing the Nazi occupation, spoke at an Inter-Faith Brotherhood meeting in the high school. Samuel Pliskin is chairman for the Jewish group. Dr. Arie also spoke at a B’nai B’rith meeting, which raised funds for the United Jewish Appeal.
Sisterhood Sabbath March 29 at Fort Wayne Special FORT WAYNE—Annual Sisterhood sabbath services will be held Friday, March 29, at Temple Achduth Vesholom with Mrs. Samuel J. Stone of Canton, O., as guest speaker, Mrs. I. L. Bronstein, chairman, announced this week. Participating in the services will be the Mesdames Abe Beck, Haskell Schultz, Joseph Goldstine and Paul Schwartz.

Child Study Group—The second meeting of a Child Study Group, organized last month, will be held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Gordon Sweet. Jack Risk, executive director of the Fort Wayne Jewish Federation, is scheduled as speaker, on “Mental Hygiene for the Pre-School Child.” Bible and Peace Groups—The Bible Study Group and the Peace Study Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively, Tuesday, at Temple Achduth Vesholom. Sisterhood Meeting April 3— The B’nai Jacob Sisterhood will meet April 3 to hear an illustrated lecture by Rabbi Joseph Gorfinkel on the observance of the Seder. Mrs. Abe Kaplan will be hostess.
