The affair opens the Sisterhood social season. A delicious supper, in charge of Mrs. Paul Schwartz, will be followed by special entertainment, games and a social time. The peace group of the Temple Sisterhood, organized for the purpose of studying national and international problems, met Monday, Nov. 11. The next meeting will be held Dec. 2 under the leadership of Mrs. Kurt Stein. Mrs. Nelson Poliak is chairman of the group. ^lacob Sunshine, prominent business man, died Saturday, Nov. 16. Funeral services were conducted by Rabbi Irving Weingart Sunday in the Jewish Orthodox cemetery. Surviving are his wife, a son and a daughter. The Fort Wayne Jewish Federation was represented this week in Indianapolis at the meeting of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Agencies by G. Irving Latz, who presided at one of the sessions, and Mrs. I. L. Bronstein, who presented a paper. Other representatives in attendance included Dr. N. L. Salon, president, and J. M. Finkelstein, executive secretary, of the local federation; Miss Louise Lebensburger, Manny King, Dr. Maurice Rothberg, Dr. Elmer Zweig and Rabbi Frederic A. Doppelt. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Morris Stillpass have as holiday guests Dr. Jacob Lauterbach, Stanley Dreyfus and their son, Leo J. Stillpass, all of Hebrew Union College at Cincinnati. . . . Marshall Taxay. The Book of Exodus is under discussion. Louis Brown, of this city, will attend the Midwest Conference of The United Palestine Appeal in Chicago next month. Terre Haute Chapter of Hadassah will hold its regular monthly meeting next Thursday, at which time the president, Mrs. John Tatelman and Mrs. Ben Abrahams will give reports of the national convention held recently in Cincinnati.
