Jasper Banner, Volume 4, Number 21, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 22 July 1857 — DAN. F. DAVIES AGAIN. [ARTICLE]

DAN. F. DAVIES AGAIN.

And the Ass opened his mouth, and spake as follows :

STIRRING UP THE SKUNKS. The gang of skunks which infests this town was most effectually stirred up last week. The lying editor of the Banner, the lying twopenny postmaster, and the lying David Snyder, " Attorney at Law,” the biggest fool in Rensselaer, were out last week in low and obscene language, too vulgar to be admitted into the columns of a respectable family paper.— Gazette. DC7* We would advise all who have not seen last week’s Banner, to procure a copy of it forthwith, and see how easy it is for David Snyder, “ Attorney at Law,” and the biggest fool in Rensselaer, to make himself the laughing stock of the community.- Gazette. □CP David Snyder, “ Attorney at Law,” and the biggest fool in Rensselaer, is going to start a semi-week-ly paper, for he says we will have to start a daily to get ahead of him. . A monthly is sufficient for us.—Ga- ; zette.

1 OCT 3 There are many men who delight in playing the fool, but who get angry the moment they are told so.—-Exchange. Such a man is David Snyder, “ Attorney at Law,’’ and the laughing stock of Rensselaer. — Gazette. {ffj 9 The St. Louis Democrat says that “ Damphool,” the friend of “ Doesticlcs,” was in that city last week. There must be some mistake about this, as David Snyder, “ Attorney at Law,” and the greatest ass in Rensselaer,- was at home at that particular time.— Gazette. All a mistake neighbor, for a Damphool has been running the smut machine , in Rensselaer for the last twelve weeks. DCT 3 As David Snyder, “ Attorney at Law," and the greatest goose in Rensselaer, instead of acknowledging his error like a man, has added insult to injury, he is no longer worthy of any regard from ire, and must not complain if, from this on, we handle him without gloves.—Gazette. HJ 3 David Snyder, “ Attorney at Law,” and the greatest coward in Rensselaer, said, in speaking of the editor of this paper : “ Damn him 1 if I can’t beat him I can cane him.” Can you ?—Gazette. The above slips, were all cut from last week's Gazette, Dan. F. Davies, “ sole proprietor?’ Its publication in your paper, is all the revenge I

ask.

D. SNYDER.
