THE late Congress, on the 3d of March 1855, passed an-eS’t granting a bounty of 161! acres of laud to all persons who TianTbecn regularly mustered into the service of. the United ■States, and fought in any battle, or-served four t >en days, on land or water, in any war since 1790,either as officer, soldier, sailor, chaplain, wagon-master or teamster, and to the widows and minor children of such as are dead; and also to the officers, soldiers and seamen of the Revolutionary war, and to their widotvs and minorchildren. ' . All person? who have heretofore received warrants fur 160 acres of land, can get no more; but. those persons who have heretofore received warrants for less than 160 acres are entitled to another warrant for a number of acres sufficient to make up 160 with what they have received.
