The report to the ticket committee showed about realized from such sales, of one-sixth the amount required to stage the five concerts. Thereupon the guarantors met and decided to give |24 each, for which they received a bunch of season tickets. Only |2OO was required for the first show, but the guarantors, wishing to forget the incident and get rid of an unpleasant remembrance, decided to pay the Century Bureau |6OO spot cash. Most of the signatures to the Century contract are not strangers to a deficit, and have for years been assessed for shows in addition to the purchase of tickets. But it is the Century contract that has put the finishing touch on further investments of the kind. Promoters are advised that the bars are up—don’t come this way.
