“Changes in Business Conditions'’ Force Shutdown at Fort Dodge — Affects 400 Employees. Fort Dodge, la., Oct. 29.—The Quaker Oats plant at Fort Dodge will shut down Saturday for an “indefinite period," according to an announcement made by the company. Recent changes In business conditions compel the shutdown, said the company’s statement. The Fort Dodge plant is one of the largest operated by the Quaker Oats company, employing about 400 persons when run at full time.
