Oort and Saxon Not to Lower Prices The following letter and telegram have been received by the loeal agents of the Dort and Saxon automobiles. They explain the position of these two leading automobile manufacturers on the price situation. LOUIS GEYLER COMPANY Dort Motor Cara Chicago, September 27, 1920. TO ALL DORT DEALERS:— , „ We are just in receipt of a telegram from the Dort Motor Car Company which reads as follows: “We will guarantee price to consumers on all Dart Cars sold and delivered between Sept. 20th and Nov.. 15th, 1920. should we make any reduction in price customer will be rebated on same—we want it thoroughly understood that we will not make reduction now.” _ DORT MOTOR CAR COMPANY. Mansfield. - We believe this is good material for you to use and should remove any skepticism from the mind of a probable purchaser regarding price reduction. . All of us know that the Dort Company is absolutely sincere in anything they do and this particular matter is no exception to their general rule. I think we are all justified in going on the plan that the price of the Dort Car will remain substantially as it is today. These two items govern almost entirely the list price of any honest priced piece of merchandise which Saxon Duplex Model is. Any drastic reductions in prices today are in defiance of economic law. Saxon Duplex car prices based on today’s cost of labor and material, therefore we herewith guarantee that in the event of a reduction in t. e nresent list price of Saxon Duplex cars before April first nineteen twenty one we will refund to our distributors and dealer an? suck reduction in cost to them.
