A BIG CORN CROP IS ASSURED

Most of It Now Out of Way of Damage by Frost. Uncle Charley Pullins of Barkley •township brought in a couple of ears of corn. Saturday that grew on muck land on his farm, and the ears were fully developed and hard as flint. Mr. Pullins stated that the corn on this muck has done better if anything than that grown on higher ground, and last year the first year he had it in to corn —it was as good as that grown on the high ground and weighed out just as heavy —something unusual for muck grown corn —and that it will do the same this year, he thinks. He says he has never before seen it so nearly every corn stalk having an ear on it as it is [ this year in his section of the county.
