SEVEN MONTHS U. S. TRADE BALANCE IS ABOVE BILLION

Washington, D. C., Aug. 26. —The United States piled up a trade balance of $1,420,000,000 against the rest of the world in the seven months ended with July, according to an announcement by the commerce department today. The trade balance in favor of the United States during July totaled $117,000,000. Exports increased and imports fell durfng July, as compared with June, according to the announcement. July exports totaled $654,000,000, against $631,000,000 in June. Imports totaled $537,000,000, as compared with $553,000,000 in June.
