CHICAGO COUPLE ARE KILLED Early Wednesday Morning at Grade Crossing at Haskells. Valparaiso, July 9. —Olaf Olson, age 4s, and his wife, age 45, of Chicago were fatally injured Wednesday when an automobile In which they were riding was struck by the Grand Trunk Railroad limited train at Haskells crossing east of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Olson were unconscious when members of the train crew reached them after the crash. They died while being brought here on ths train. Their car was completely wrecked and strewn along the track for several hundred feet Mr. Olson was a contractor. He left Chicago for Elkhart last Sunday to have his automobile repaired at a factory there. He and his wife were returning home in the machine at the time of the accident. W. A. McCurtain and family of Rensselaer, returning from Michigan City Wednesday morning, saw the wrecked car a few hours after the accident occurred.
