Mrs. Elnora M. T. Moulton writes from Rural Route 6, Mt. Vernon, Wash., in renewing her subscription, and .says: “I am enclosing remit-* tance for renewal of my subscription to The Democrat, as I do not want to miss an issue of the paper. We are having a cool, backward spring. I note that you are experiencing even worse weather than we have here. This is an ideal country for smlall fruit and more than 400 acres are to be put into berries this season, and Mt. Vernon is already assured of the erection of one of the largest canneries in the northwest. Snyil! ranches are selling for J 350 to >I,OOO per acre. There are 4,200 licensed automobiles and trucks in this county. Wishing the best to all old friends and the editor, I am very truly," etc.
