STAR CITY IN THE LIMELIGHT
Supt. of Schools Arrested for Carving Up William McClure. William Hopper, the one-armed superintendent of the Star City, Pulaski county schools, was arrested Sunday morning on the charge of assault and battery with intent to kill William McClure, a Star City young man, Saturday nighC by cutting him seriously *wlth a knife. Hopper also swore out a warrant against McClure, charging the latter with carrying concealed weapons. The trouble is said to have originated over the Infatuation of the school superintendent, who has a wife and three children, for one of his high school pupils whom McClure was keeping company with. Saturday night Hopper followed McClure into the garage at Star City as the latter drove hid car in and slashed McClure with a pocket knife, cutting him seriously in the face and about the body. The affair has caused a big sensation in Star City and all over Pulaski county.
