REBELS SURROUND CARRANZA
Mexico’s President Reported in Desperate Straits in Riconada, in the State of Pueblo. El Paso, May 14. —President Carranza is surrounded and in desperate straits at Rinconada, near Esperanzo station, in the state of Pueblo, according to a telegram from General Obregon, received here. The revolutionary troops are under General Trevino and Gen. Guadalupe Sanchez. They have close to 16,000 troops and are well equipped with artillery, whereas* Carranza is reported to have only 5,000 to 6.000 men.
