FIVE DIE IN R. R. COLLISION

Twelve Others Hurt When Northwestern Trains Meet Head-on. Lamberton, Minn., April 20. —Five persons were killed and twelve injured when Chicago p; ssenger trains Nos. 516 and 517 on the Chicago & Northwestern railroad met in a head-On collision near here. The dead are: Clark, Ed, conductor of train No. 516, from Winona., Fuller, L. S., engineer of 516, from Winona. Larson, E. C., fireman on 516, from Winona. Feltz, A., car repairer, Rabey, Minn. Augustone, E. W„ Pioneer, O. The accident Is said to have been caused by misinterpretation of orders whereby the trains were supposed to pass at Sanborn instead of Lamberton. Four cars and both engines were wrecked. Among the Injured are Joseph Friesing of LaCrosse, Wis., and Mrs. W. F. Lathrop, Towahawk Lake, Wis. The most seriously Injured are members of the train crew, whose homes were In Winona.
