BAN PUT ON SILK STOCKINGS Old Clothes Club Organized by Girls at Muncie High School. Muncie, April 30.—Many Muncie high school girls have barred silk stockings from their wardrobes, and have pledged themselves to wear middy blouses, calico or gingham aprons, other cheap clothing, and not to buy new garments other than those absolutely necessary until clothing prices come down. The girls have formed an old clothes club similar to the one organized by hundreds of high school boys. The boys are now wearing overalls and khaki trousers to school. Miss Virginia Kersey is president of the girls’ clnb and Miss Mary Bradshaw is vice-president. All the girl pupils were not willing to wear old clothes, and the club will not have as many members as the boys' old clothes club.
