MUCH WATER YET STANDING IN GIFFORD DISTRICT

The excessive rains last week and the week previous played havoc with some of the farmers up in the Gifford district, much of which was flooded with from one to four feet of water. Several lost all the oats they had sown as a consequence. One farmer told us Thursday that there was still two feet of water over his land and it will take two weeks for it to get away.
