“MUTT AND JEFF” DRAWS BIG

Standing Room at Premium Thursday Night at Opera House. The New Ellis opera house was packed to the doors Thursday night to witness "Mutt and Jeff’s Dream," the lively musical comedy advertised in The Democrat and which was produced a large company of players who came here direct from the Family theater at Lafayette. The large audience was well pleased with the production and was kept in an uproar of merriment from start to finish. Many more tickets could have been sold had seats been available. As it was quite a number of people stood during the en tire performance. Messrs. Hill & Crooks, the new managers, are much encouraged by the patronage extended by the public since they took charge of this playhouse and have been booking only A-l attractions.
