Obituary

Benton Kelly Benton Kelly, the fourth son of Dominic and Margaret Kelly, was born July 21, 1855, in Bartholomew county, Ind., and departed this life Meh. 21, 1920, in Newton township, Jasper county, at the age of 64 years and 8 months. When about 18 years of age he united with the English Lutheran church. July 29, 1878, he was united in marriage to Mary Catherine Stillabower, and to this union four children were born, Michael D., who died in infancy; Walter E., Jessie May Halstead and Grace O. Weiss, all of Newton township. He resided in Bartholomew county until in 1902, when with his family he moved to Jasper county, where he lived until his death. He is survived by a wife, three children, three grand-children, three brothers and six sisters. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. W. T. Barbre, were held from the Christian church Tuesday afternoon and burial made in Weston cemetery. Duplicate order books, Fairbanks scale books, etc., carried in stock in The Democrat’s Fancy Stationery and Office Supply department.
