TEACHER CALLED TO WYOMING
By Mother’s Illness—Family Sadly Afflicted Past Few Months. Miss Alice Jennings, teacher in the first grade of the Rensselaer schools, received a telegram Sunday telling of the serious illness of her mother at the family -home at Laramie, Wyo. Miss Jennings left Monday morning for Laramie 1 . Miss IMary Goetz is substituting for Miss Jennings during her absence. This is (Miss Jennings’s first year •here and it will be remembered that last fall, after commlencing her school work and only teaching one day, She was called back home by the death of her brother, by the death of her brother, who had been shot and killed on a public highway by people who mistook him for another man they intended to rob. The trial of John and Peter Gordillo and Walter Newell, who are charged with the murder oj Frank Jennings of near Laramie, Wyo., on the night of Sept. 7, 1919, has been set for Meh. 22, at Laramie. All the defendants entered pleas of not guilty when arraigned in court there a few days ago.
