When any of the Rensselaer fellows are driving their automobiles out in the country several miles from town and happen to pass a fahner stalled in the road with, his car they usually pass on thinking he is only a hayseed and they haven’t the time to waste on him. But when one of the city dads, such as Ben Forsythe, gets hung up for about three hours, as was the case a few days ago, when he was up In the north end, he hailed' every farmer who chanced along to ask 'him what was the trouble with his car. He had everything Imaginable causing the trouble, but was so confused for fear the other city dads wcfuld find it out that he never thought of being out of gas, and after cranking for over two hours, finally listened to one of the farmers whom he stopped, and upon examining his gas tank found it empty. Then, after paying another passerby $2 to run into Wheatfield for gas, he was soon ready to start out again, but asked his rescuers “not to tell on him.”
